IO-Link is a standard that was introduced for sensors and actuators. This connects an IO-Link master to multiple IO-Link slaves. The advantage here is that the wiring between master and slave is simply structured (3-wire cable), and the master can query information about the connected device. The disadvantage is that the sensors must support this protocol, retrofitting existing sensors is not easily possible.
ENLYZE does not interact directly with IO-Link devices, as they can only respond to one master (often the IO-Link master connected to the PLC). Instead, we intervene at a higher level on the fieldbus, which can be done with Profinet or ModbusTCP, for example.
Required Information:
Exact part number of the IO-Link master
IP address of the IO-Link master
