OPC UA is the modern successor to the OPC DA standard and no longer exclusively bound to Windows systems. Designed as a universal standard for the modern factory, it is increasingly found on operator panels, controllers, and industrial PCs from various manufacturers in the automation industry. It is to be expected that the number of OPC UA compatible devices will continue to grow in the future.

However, there are also some manufacturers who neglect to support OPC UA, artificially restrict it, or lock it behind a paywall. ENLYZE can determine on-site at your facilities whether OPC UA is available and usable, or if it would be better to switch to an alternative protocol. It is not uncommon for a facility to support another protocol for data transmission in addition to OPC UA.
